High Definition show is still running, and I got some really good comments for my painting:

I painted my ass off for this one. The pressure was definitely on... how often do you get to hang your piece next to Sam Leach, Juan Ford, Michael Peck, Anthony Lister, and Yvette Coppersmith....??

Big big props to Michael Staniak, the man who put it all together. A standup dude and awesome artist.

Also, a while back I did a couple of illustrations for Penguin Plays Rough who were putting together a book of short stories, and I just saw some pics on facebook. I did a picture of Johnny and Vivian Cash, and some naked chicks. Can't wait to get my hands on one. They having their book launch at Sydney Writers' Festival.

And I'm gonna be in a few group shows coming up in next few weeks.

First up is Urban Art Throwup! at Brunswick St Gallery. I'll be doing a live painting on the opening night.

Then there's a group show at Lo-Fi Collective in Sydney to launch Colour By Numbers Gallery. Colour By Numbers is a pop-up gallery concept that will operate both in Sydney and Melbourne, and all over the interweb. Very interesting!

And then, there's a group show at ArtBoy gallery in Prahran, with comic books theme.. and being such a superhero nerd, i'm gonna be in it with some new paintings (the batman vs joker piece + some more new paintings)..

While in Sydney, I painted a wall at Westsyde Connection. Big props to R-J, and Nathan. And Kiah for help me document it. A video of the whole process is coming soon.

Secret wars

Trip to Sydney was awesome. Secret Wars was rad. I won the battle against Sonny :) Thanks everyone for your love and support!

next wednesday night is the Secret Wars Sydney - Round 3, where i'll be battling it out with Sonny Day from WeBuyYourKids. i'm pretty excited to be part of something big as secret wars. so if you're in sydney area, come and check it out, and yell your guts out for me... hehe.

and after secret wars, i'll be showing in a massive group show with some big guns. High Definition is an exhibition, that's "a celebration of the future of australian painting". it opens on my 6th at Paradise Hills gallery, Melbourne, and the lineup is simply fucking amazing. i'm still trying to get over the fact that i got asked to be part of this. stay tuned to Paradise Hills website, or their facebook page for more details.

Vice magazine march issue
